Where is my migraine data stored?
Your records are stored locally on your device. HeadAura does not require an account and does not send your migraine journal to a HeadAura server.

HeadAura is a private migraine journal for recording attacks, reviewing history, and keeping your health information under your control.

Common questions
How do I back up or move my data?
Open Settings in HeadAura and use the data export option to create a JSON or CSV backup. Use the restore/import option on the other device.
How does Apple Health work?
Apple Health access is optional. If you connect it, HeadAura can read selected biometric context and can optionally write recorded headache symptoms to Apple Health. Manage permissions in the Health app.
How do I remove my data?
Delete individual migraines from History, or remove the app from your device to remove its local app data. Apple Health entries are managed separately in the Health app.
Privacy at a glance
HeadAura has no accounts, ads, analytics, or third-party tracking. HealthKit data is accessed only after you grant permission, and the app does not sell or share your health information.
When you choose to export or share a backup, that file is handled by the destination you select. Review the recipient before sharing sensitive health information.
